I had to add an extra post today, because this is too neat not to share. Momma Eagle is waiting for her eaglets to hatch. It's streaming live and the kids and I are glued to it. It's all happening in Decorah, Iowa...about two hours from us. The website says the first of her three eggs is due to hatch anytime now. What a neat thing to watch!
The nest is 80 feet high and measures about 6 feet across. It weighs over a ton. The Mr and Mrs have been together since 2007 and this will be their fourth batch of eaglets.
