Soccer

Riley and Cooper started their first year of AYSO this week. Riley is yellow and black and they've decided on the team name, "Hawkeyes". Cooper is orange and black and his team name is "The Flaming Fireballs". My mom made them each a card for their soccer debut...and they were too cute not to share.

Riley's first game was last night (which I missed because I was working) and she scored the first goal of the season!

The Animals

That's Aunt Judy. She's in her 70's, but you'd never guess it to see her climb those fences! She's feeding a 10-day-old calf.

Jack the Jackass again. Not a nice boy.

One of the twin bulls

...and his brother.

The Farm Continued...

Meet Jack. Jack wasn't very welcoming, in fact, he charged at us, hee-hawing, nostrils flaring, and scared the Holy BeJesus out of the kids (and mom).

The farm had all kinds of old tractors, the kids each took turns "driving" them.

Got Milk?

A Day on the Farm

We went to Hanover today to visit Clyde's mom's grave and to stop and see the calves at his aunt Judy's farm.

The kids got to feed the calves their bottles. To say they were excited would be an understatement.

Sleepy Time Girl

Camdyn was in the kitchen eating a fruit snack. When we could no longer hear her, we decided we'd better check on her.
There, we found her on the stool.

fast asleep.

(her black nail is courtesy of her slamming it in the door in the other day)

Mother's Day

Camdyn and I were in the living room when she yelled, "Ducks!"...I looked out the window to see a mom leading her ducklings through our yard. I think Mrs. Duck needs to share her secret for keeping her babies in line. God knows mine are all over the place anytime we go out.

They flushed the hydrant today out in front of our house...two little girls were mesmerized.

Starbucks Via

My sister brought these with her when we were in St. Louis, and until then I had never tried them. I'm hooked! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy to make coffee on the go. Add the packet to 8 oz of hot water and you're good to go. I generally use them at work, where the doctors tend to make water with a hint of coffee.

Riley asked me last night if this means we won't be able to eat bacon on Sunday for breakfast. I reassured her that she won't be getting Swine Flu from eating pork and then broke it to her that the bacon we eat is turkey anyway.

If you find the picture humorous, as I did, you can buy it on a shirt HERE.
