Holiday Dishes

I'm crushing on anything bird and anything teal right now, so when I saw these dishes at Macy's my heart skipped a beat. Only the salad plates are available, which is fine, because they're my favorite part.

Dear Santa,
I've been a very good girl this year and just maintaining my sanity with Lumptastic on the loose should earn some sort of bonus points. Don't judge, Ho-Ho, you know she's high maintenance. Anyway, the rest of my list is forthcoming.
I'll bake cookies.

Erin

Four

Camdyn turned 4 today. She also picked out her own birthday attire.

She changed her mind on the cowboy boots and opted for cleats instead.

Saying hello to Rowyn...who wanted outside in the worst way.

Typical Lumpy.

We aren't celebrating her birthday until Sunday, but Daddy picked up a birthday cookie for her on his way home from work. She also opened one gift from us, a pink Bilibo. So far it's been used as a stool, a spinning ride, a hat, and a doll carrier. It reminds me of the Koopa Troopa shells from Mario and I imagine it won't be long and someone will toss it just as they do, to take the legs out of some poor unsuspecting sibling.

Tomorrow is her birthday

Tomorrow she'll be 4...but today, there are dishes to be done.

Isn't it the best when you have something to hang over their head?

There will be no dessert if you don't clear the table.
There will be no Christmas presents if you keep acting like that.
There will be no friends over if your room isn't cleaned.

If the birthday girl slings the f-bomb again, there will be no birthday.

FYI...she wasn't really doing the dishes, she was farting around in the sink and I caught her red-handed...and scantily-clad, as usual.

Thanksgiving 2009

Happy Thanksgiving from ours to yours!

Four reasons to be thankful every.single.day.

The pilgrim hats we made from Family Fun Magazine.

...and how about the outtakes?

Riley and Camdyn came home with a garbage can lid full of little pine cones...I believe they were borrowed from the neighbors yard. Anyway, I didn't want them to go to waste, so several glue gun burns later and I made this pine cone wreath.

I found THIS gum drop wreath over at A Pretty Cool Life and I am debating on attempting one myself. The blisters on my fingers scream no, but the cuteness factor may win this one.

Anthropologie

While shopping for Christmas Latte bowls at Anthropologie, I happened upon clothing...for kids. They now sell clothing for kids. Oh, Lawdy, they have found my weakness. I have added these two to my shopping bag in hopes that the powers that be at Anthropologie think that Erin Kay really needs them and send them to me in thanks for frequenting their online site...and putting their hit counter through the roof.

I am inspired by THIS, she was inspired by Anthropologie.

Hats and Etsy

I'd like something like this from kolonbeanie for Rowyn.

Propstoyou could sell me just about anything with that sweet little face. Look at those cheeks, those lips...oh, my aching uterus.
Focus on the hat people...cute, right?!

What little boy wouldn't love this hat by Babbidgepatch?

I *heart* this hat by citefuzz

This, however, has all the makings of a regretsy post. Chopping of a doll's head does not make for a nice prop.

Cissysdollfashions

Yes, more Etsy shopping. I found THIS in my favorites, as well. It's a handmade wooden school desk for American Girl dolls (or stuffed animals, etc)...isn't it adorable?! It's made in Runnells, Iowa, which I believe to be near Des Moines. Anyway, I love it. I know Riley would too, she's always playing school. I can imagine her with her whiteboard out and one of these in every color lined up just like her own little classroom. I'm quite sure my husband would have me committed, but I'm sure I could sneak one in without him even noticing it. ;)

They were selling for $18 and an additional $8 for shipping (I'd wish I knew someone in Des Moines, I'd have them pick it up!) I haven't seen anymore listed, but I'm guessing you could convo her and see if you could order one.

Dresses

I have the Shabby Apple bookmarked, because I love about everything in their store. No really, check them out.

This 'canary' dress and the 'queen of hearts' dress below are two of my favorites.

Matilda Jane, another bookmark and more dresses I *heart*. I think I want to be a trunk keeper, just so I can buy the stuff locally. Although, that could easily get out of control, as I have no self control. The girls would have closets chock-full of lovelies and I'd have one less kidney.

I also have an obscene amount of favorites on my Etsy account, like THIS (see pic below) and THIS. There are some seriously brilliant, crafty women on there! When I win the lottery, I will buy one of each. Promise.
