FSBO

Our house is currently listed For Sale By Owner.

I'm going to post some pictures here before looking for an actual FSBO site.

If you know anyone looking to move to Dubuque or Asbury, Iowa our house is in the Forest Hills Subdivision.

It has 1913 sq feet up and almost another 1485 sq feet finished in the basement.

It has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a large 32ft x 16ft deck and it sits on about 1/2 an acre at the bottom of a cul-de-sac.

Living Room, with a gas fireplace.

Formal Dining Room

 Bedroom One

 Bedroom Two, with two closets

 Bedroom Three

Master Bedroom with walk-in closet and private bath

Children's Playhouse/Loft

Wired for cable, so the kids can watch movies from the loft. :)

We've had a couple showings now, which forced us to super clean everything.  It feels so good to have it all done!  The kids and I have a bet going to see how long we can keep it this way.  Ha!

Breaking Ground

We broke ground!
There is no turning back now.
I'm excited and nervous and feeling a little overwhelmed about all the choices ahead of me.

I can make decisions for others much easier than for myself.

Our current home is officially for sale, so if you know anyone interested...we need some new players for neighborhood kickball! :)

Paint

I spent much of last week painting furniture.  I've been wanting to paint the antique dresser we use as a tv console for quite awhile, but couldn't settle on a color.

Well, I finally did it.

Camdyn helped me with the prep work.

The color was reflecting pool by Sherwin Williams.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I brought up a table from the basement that my parent's gave us and painted it white for a new coffee table.  I was ready for some change.

*******************************************

Since we'll be breaking ground for the new house shortly, I've started thinking about the kids' bedrooms.

I really want matching Jenny Lind twin beds for Rowyn and Camdyn.

I absolutely adore these from Land of Nod, but not the $550 price tag.

Then I found this one at Target.com and it's on sale this week for $112, plus 5% back and free shipping for using my Target Red card and 2% back for going through Ebates.  Much more doable.  But then I read the reviews.  They don't come with side rails...how stupid.  So, I decided to order them anyway.  Hopefully, my husband will be able to figure a way to make them work.  If they absolutely don't work, I can return them to the Target store in town.

So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed they work.

The Party

We celebrated Cooper's birthday with family on Saturday.

I went with a football theme.
Clyde made the uprights...an idea from Pinterest, of course. ;)

I used brown butcher paper and drew football plays on with a marker.

Cooper asked for Creme Soda for the drinks.

Cooper's new addiction...Skylander's.  He and his buddy played while I got the decorations hung.

Rowyn sporting her fangs from Asbury Music in the Park.

My dad is feeling much better...we're so glad he's home.

Clearly not wanting her picture taken.

What's a family meal without mental-case Meghan.

Ribs for dinner!

Fresh fruit.

Fincel corn. Yum!

Cooper asked for a frozen Oreo mint cake this year.

The birthday boy and his aunt Mugs.

Cooper got more Skylander's, a gift card, clothes, and a metal detector for his birthday.  He was one happy 9-year-old.

Happy Birthday, Coop!

Cooper

Today this little guy is 9.
He was without a doubt the cutest little baby boy I've ever seen.  Of course, I'm a little bit biased. ;)

He had the biggest umbilical hernia, that he liked to tug on...giving his mommy the heebie jeebies.

He was a binky addict.  He usually had one in his mouth and several in his hands.  Apparently he armed himself prior to napping that day. ;)

He liked to dress up in silly outfits, like this Scream mask, pink Dora backpack, snowpants, and Riley's sweater.

 He still does silly things.

 He's a great big brother.

 A great adventurer.

 Master of video games.

Athletic.

A stud.

Just an all-around sweet boy.

We love him so very much.

Happy Birthday, Cooper Flynn!
