Davenport

On Sunday, we went to Davenport to visit my sister and to shop.  My mom came with...she's in the middle of remodeling her home and she was looking for fabric for her dining room chairs and for slipcovered sofas for her family room.

Clyde drove.

Others ate cheesy Pringles.

Some slept.

I was forced to watch Caillou...for an hour straight.

Once there, it didn't take long for Cooper to plug himself in to Meghan's xbox.

My mom, Meghan, and I left to go shopping, while Clyde took the kids to Michael's Fun World.
Brave Clyde, very brave.

Meghan found a fainting chair at JCP...and it looks like she's about to faint.
That's a good look for you, Megs.
While at JCP, we met Char.  We're nominating Char for most annoying salesperson of the century.  She sent my mom home with 50 business cards.
"And my name is Char.  It's a good german name.  Remember it!"

After JCP, we went to the fabric store.  My mom found some gorgeous paisley for her chairs.

We stopped at Marshall's...love that store.
I got towels, new glassware, and some clothes for the kids.

We were walking to the car when we spotted a Rolls Royce Phantom in the parking lot of Marshall's.
IN THE PARKING LOT OF MARSHALL'S!

That's like an oxymoron.

We became paparazzi.
I broke out the camera and had Meghan circle the lot.
My mom was dying of embarrassment.  I'm quite certain she couldn't have slunk any lower into her seat.

I think someone was watching me from behind the curtain.
Just as we're circling, taking pictures, he and what appeared to be his second wife came out of Marshall's.  His first wife was waiting in the front seat.
Or at least that was the story we decided on.
With a Rolls Royce Phantom, I'll volunteer to be wife number three! haha

We drove over to Starbucks...and I took another picture.
Just for my mom, because she wasn't humiliated enough.

On the way out, we spotted an Escalade all pimped out with chameleon paint and rims.
Again, shopping at Marshall's.
Again, I took a picture.
Again, my mom was mortified.

We decided to go to Gordman's, before I took anymore pictures in the Marshall's lot.

It was there, that I found Dora's Papi's thong.
Mi Papi lleva un tanga!
My dad wears a thong!

Say it with me!
Mi Papi lleva un tanga!

We had a great time.
Lot's of laughing.
Lot's of shopping.
And I can't wait to do it again. :)
