Goodies from Grammy

Grammy brought goodies for Valentine's Day...chocolate shakes, chocolate, and her homemade cards for everyone.

Camdyn very proud of the card she made for us.

Thank you for the beautiful cards, Mom.  The treats were perfect, in fact, Rowyn had the rest of hers for breakfast this morning.

Heart Day

We made valentines this weekend for Camdyn and Riley.
Cooper opted for store bought SpongeBob.

I found the idea for Camdyn's here.

The inspiration for Riley's I found here.

Yesterday, Clyde made Valentine's Day cupcakes for us, while Riley, Cooper, and I played The Spiderwick Chronicles on the xbox.  We beat it last night if that's any indication how long we played.

Camdyn spent the day virtual shoe shopping and every other minute she'd find a pair and want to know if they came in her size.

Rowyn's had a fever for a few days, so she napped and was pretty mellow for most of the day.

We had a pretty lazy Sunday...but that's okay, you need those days sometimes.

♥ Happy Valentine's Day! ♥

With You

Rowyn as Chris Brown.

I need you boo.
The only line she knows.

She injects her own choreography.

Attitude much?

The television was our Christmas present from my awesome parents.  We had this old dresser in the basement, so it's turned into our new media stand.  I'll paint it as soon as it warms up outside.

Inspiration

Dazeychic on Etsy has the cutest inspirational prints and today and tomorrow she is running a 30% off sale using coupon code HOORAY.  They make me happy, so I bought one.

This makes me happy too.  I think I need a latte bowl in every color.

Riley is starting a knitting class next week.  I don't know who's more excited, she or I.

We're working on valentines this weekend and hopefully painting the laundry room.  I haven't informed my husband of the latter.  Surprises are good, right?

PB&J

"I do, I do, I do me-self!"
We hear it all the time.
So, she made her own peanut butter and jelly sandwich today.

One very proud little girl. :)

We also want to wish my always proper and polite sister Meghan, a very Happy Birthday!  We love you!

Playing

While everyone was at school, Rowyn and I spent the day playing and reading and just relaxing.

We played with her Fisher Price Hideaway Hollows she got for Christmas from Grammy and Grandpa.  She loves them...they're actually really cute!

Then it was time for Pretty Pretty Princess, although she made up her own rules and used her own jewelry.  There is no arguing with a two-year-old...just go with the flow.

Booth ate the blue ring and that ended the game.  Really?  A plastic ring?  Ugh.

Saturday Night

After I got home from work today, Riley and I did some crafting.  It was a nice way to unwind...it's flu season, so we've been slammed.  I feel like bathing in an antibacterial sanitizer.

Riley got this bracelet set from her aunt and uncle for Christmas.  So much fun!  Kind of a learning curve, but once we figured it out, we whizzed through them.

Riley has been asking for an Iowa Hawkeyes blanket, so we finally picked up the fabric yesterday.

It was more of a family project, Clyde and I cut.  Then Riley and I tied the knots.  Rowyn helped by jumping on and off of it...always such a helper.

The kids are all finally in bed and Clyde and I are just sitting down to watch the movie 'Red'.

Snow Beautiful

It has finally finished snowing.  Everyone is working on digging out.  There is no school.  Stores are closed.

The good news?  That groundhog didn't see his shadow...so let's hope this was winter's last hurrah.

Winter-Berry.
Our front stoop.

Playing in the snow = happy kids!

It's a blizzard out there...

 It is beginning.  Blizzard 2011.
 The snow is blowing...
 The mailbox is disappearing...

So what is everyone doing on this cold, blustery night?
Cooper is playing Fisher Price Little People...
So is Rowyn.
Lumpy is coloring and working on puzzles.
Booth is waiting for dinnertime.
Riley is playing Valentine games linked from her school website.
Spaghetti and meatballs are on the stove, while the Peanut Butter Blossoms are in the oven.

Here is what I should be doing.  Mount laundry needs to be folded and put away or I won't be sleeping tonight.

Stay warm everyone!
