My mom had a surprise when she uploaded her pictures off her camera...looks like Lumpy was busy.
What a hot mess.
**And I must say my mom's house is currently being remodeled...refinishing floors, painting, etc, so it's all torn up...she'd kill me if I let you think her house always looks like this. haha

Jones
Tomorrow is Camdyn's last day of preschool. I can hardly believe she'll be off to Kindergarten next year. Her classroom held an ice cream social today. Rowyn, Daddy, and I went.
It is the last year for her preschool. They're closing it after this year due to budget cuts. It's been around for a long time. My mom used to teach there back in the 70's.
I went half days there for 7th and 8th grade. I'll never forget my music teacher, Ms.Adrian, who walked around the room while we sang, to be certain we had our mouths open at least two fingers wide. She also rocked the polyester leisure suit.
"Wade in the Water" was her favorite song.
Wade in the water, children.
Wade in the water, children.
God's a gonna trouble, the wa-ter.
I'm surprised they permitted it in a public school.
I know it would never fly today...some parent would have a conniption.
Cooper went there for preschool and now Camdyn.
Bye Jones...you've served us well.
I'm not sure why Clyde looks so grumpy. haha
I made teacher and bus driver gifts today...an idea I found at eighteen25. A Starbucks gift card will go in the little sleeve.

Summer
Summer means looking for swimsuits.
I came across Lime Ricki.
They have some cute suits for women and girls.

Oh summer how I've missed you.
I can't wait for fresh berries on a hot day.

Fresh salads, like this avocado and tomato salad from

And of course campfires.
We love s'mores...well, they love roasting the marshmallows anyway.
Genius idea to get rid of those stale Peeps.

Bush Hog
While at the farm, Clyde found a big boy toy. He gave the kids a ride around the fields...he claims it was for the kids sake, but I know better.
While they rode, I cut lilacs to bring home. She had lavender and white ones. I love the smell of lilacs...almost as much as I love the smell of lily of the valley.
*********************************************************
Someone is turning 3 soon, so I've begun putting things together for her party.
I ordered some things from Etsy, like these cupcake liners.
*********************************************************
Do you Zumba? I want to try it...but know I won't do it alone. So who wants to go with me?
My clothes from last summer don't fit, so it's time to do something. Ugh.

Hanover
We went to Hanover on Saturday.
Clyde's mom is buried there.
The kids brought flowers for her.
Riley was 6 months old when Grandma Jean passed away.
It makes me sad to know she never got to meet all of her grandchildren...and they her.
I'm sure Grandma Jean was looking down and chuckling at Rowyn who lightened the mood with a little undie flash.
Grandma Jean loved beagles...so she has a beagle statue near her grave. Rowyn petted it several times, while smelling all the flowers.
We miss you, Grandma Jean.
******************************************************
After the graveyard, we went to see Clyde's aunt and uncle.
Clyde's uncle isn't doing very well, so we wanted to stop in and visit.
The farm is full of memories for Clyde.
He spent many weekends helping out his aunt Judy.
They've gotten older and have had to sell all their animals, except for Jane.
Jane is having a baby next month...we're hoping to stop back to see it.
The kids had a great time investigating everything.
Plenty of buildings to search...and old tractors to sit on.
Rowyn was just as curious about everything.
There was plenty of interesting things to see at the farm.
And plenty of things to do.
Barefoot and fancy free.

Crockpot and other crap
I made zesty barbeque chicken in the crockpot last night.
I used a slightly different recipe than I normally use...I've never tried it with italian dressing.
I found it at allrecipes.
1½ lbs boneless chicken breasts
1 18oz bottle of barbeque sauce (any flavor)
½ cup brown sugar
¾ cup italian dressing
2 tbsp worchestershire sauce
Place chicken in crockpot, mix all the ingredients together, and pour mixture over chicken.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4.
Shred chicken once tender.
I forgot to take an after picture, you know how chaotic dinner time can be. Anyway, it was delicious! The only thing I would have added would have been some purple onion. But then no one else here would have eaten it.

I took a picture of my olga mezitt rhododendron the other day while it was pouring out. I think it's growing more like a bonsai tree than rhododendron. Weird.
*********************************************************
I loaded a new app the other day. It's called Instagram.
It's pretty cool.
This reminds me.
Camdyn is on yet another new med.
This time it's Adderall.
Yesterday was a great day!
I'm hoping this it the one that works for her.
The Nashville filter is my fav.
5 star app...and it was free.
Try it!

My retro metro bag came in from a Thirty-One Gifts party I went to.
So far, I'm really liking it. I added a few of my flowers on it and it actually holds all my crap, even my mongo camera.
In other news, I found a tick on Rowyn last night while giving her a tub. Later, Clyde found one on his shorts. Gross.
Riley's like me and gets the heebie jeebies just thinking about them. She made me check her hair twice before her shower and once after.
It's going to be a long summer.
Too bad they don't make a flea and tick treatment for kids like they do for cats and dogs. You know, just a drop on the back of their neck. haha.

O
We went for a walk today and Booth carried his own leash.
Which is impossible for you to see in this incredibly grainy picture.
So, you'll just have to take my word for it.
He found a frog along the way and ate it before I got a chance to stop him.
Dogs are so gross.
Rowyn made me some delicious cupcakes, to get my mind off the poor frog.
The girls love this set.

Some you already know from Facebook, but my sister Caitlin was at Oprah's Surprise Spectacular taping last night at the United Center. It was her farewell show...it's hard to believe she's been on since 1986. This was her 4,561ist show. Crazy!
She didn't give away a car, a cardigan, or a cruise...but I'm pretty sure my sister had a night of she'll never forget.
